What is UV?
UV stands for Ultraviolet Light.
Ultraviolet Light comes from the Sun and is invisible to the human eye.
Ultraviolet Light is also used in tanning lamps and solariums.
Ultraviolet Light is the major cause of sunburn, skin damage and skin cancer.
Protect yourself from the harmful effects of UV by wearing protective clothing and sunscreen.
Always remember it is possible for UV radiation to make it through clouds.
Ultraviolet Light is a type of electromagnetic radiation as are Radiowaves, X-rays etc.
How do UV Beads work?
UV sensitive beads contain a unique chemical pigment that changes colour when exposed to ultraviolet light from the sun or other UV sources such as a UV torch.
The beads are not affected by visible light.
They are chemically developed to only react to UV light and will remain white indoors or shielded from UV light.
The more intense the sunlight, the more colourful the beads become.
